Branson: Day Two

We started off day two with a HUGE buffet breakfast at the hotels Stage Door restaurant. After filling our bellies with all the goods we headed out to the Titanic Museum. A-MA-ZING!

You're not allowed to take pictures inside so this is the only shot I have. But ohhh, the memories.

As you arrive you are given a "boarding pass". This "boarding pass" is different for everyone and has an actual passengers name on it. This season is the first time they have dedicated a whole room to all the children on board. All the kids are given the boarding pass of a child and the adults are given adults. Ethan's passenger was a three year old little boy, Corbin's was a ten month old little boy and Taya's a four year old little girl. Matt's passenger was a twenty-two year old male crew member. Mine, of course ;), was a twenty-one year old famous actress. On the back of each boarding pass is a story of your passenger. Telling where they're from, how they ended up on that fateful ship, etc.

I was a first class passenger while the kids and Matt were all in second class(Sorry, guys). They have an actual replica of the cabins on board the ship. You can actually look in and touch the beds. The difference between the third class and first class is incredible. However, if I were on a cruise ship, I'd be fine with the third class cabin. Seems more cozy to me.

What's really neat is at the end of the tour there is a huge wall with every single passenger and crew members name on it. If your name is underlined your passenger survived the tragedy, if not, then your passenger perished. Incredibly, the kids and I all survived! Matt...not so lucky :(

In the next room there is another wall of all the survivors. Here, you can read about the life each passenger went on to live. Ethan's passenger was on board with his two year old brother and father. His brother lived, his father did not. He and his brother were then named the orphans on the Titanic. He lived to be a philosophy professor and died at the age of 97. Corbin's passenger lived to be 73. Taya's lived to only be 36.   Mine went on to continue to be an actress and died at the age of 56. The last living survivor just passed away in 2011. I am so glad we decided to tour the Titanic. It was a real treat.

After the Titanic we headed to the Wild World Aquarium. There, we were able to to feed different kids of fish, a GIANT, blind, 66 year old sea turtle and four BULL SHARKS! All by hand. We also saw some pretty cool other animals and reptiles.

Don't ask me why, but these are the only pictures I took there.

After we saw the creatures we played the indoor mini golf and hit the arcade. Then the Beef Jerky Outlet, Taco Bell and back to the hotel to swim. That night we went to the Acrobats of China show. This was the most awesome thing I have seen in my whole life. When we go back to Branson, we will for sure see this show all over again. Again, you aren't allowed to take pictures of the show so we got some afterwards.
The pictures behind us on the wall give a small glimpse into what the show is really like.

This kid was only 15!

After the show we went to our home for the week, ordered pizza, played some games and hit the sack.

Random: When we were in the Beef Jerky Outlet, Ethan decided he wanted a sucker.

This particular sucker was green apple flavor with a SCORPION in it. Matt managed to eat the pincher sticking out the top(see picture) and Ethan ate the arms. Awesome.

Old Time Photos

This past week we spent spring break with the kids in Branson, Mo. Just the five of us. It was a well needed, well deserved get away for all of us as a family. We had an ABSOLUTE blast. The boys both said it was the best vacation ever. For me it was the best week of my life.
Priceless.
While there we made, what we thought would be a quick stop, to the old time photo studio. It was so much fun.
Here are my favorite shots.

I seriously only took about nine million pictures. More on that in another post to come.
